For as long as I can remember, there’s been a niggling recurring dream in my head to have my very own quirky little craft shop.
A place which is full of beautifulย handmade crafts, where people can come and take time to look and enjoy a lovely atmosphere. A place to come where you can sit back, relax and enjoy watching the world go by without a feeling of care and a loss of the sense of time.
Well, it’s been a long time coming, but that dream has finally been realised. Opening on Monday 2nd May 2022 at 10am.
We would like to invite you to the we crafty world of Dancing Flower Crafts.

Our craft shop is a bit different; It is dark Blue and looks a bit like a hobbit house. Inside you will find lots of Tweedy lovelieness, hand crafted by me, Emily, at Dancing Flower Crafts.
Cushions, bags, purses, scarves and many more gifts and accessories I mainly make my crafts out of Harris Tweed, and the most gorgeous lining fabrics. Each piece I make is a one off, so you are buying something unique. My inspiration comes from everything around me in the Hebrides. The sights, sounds, smells, history, flowers, wildlife, weather. Everyday is different and gives me so many ideas and inspiration.
We will also stock a range of fantastic items from other artists and crafters in the Hebrides. The amazing Gneiss things make stunning pieces, including Jewellery out of Lewisian Gneiss and it is absolutely beautiful.
The Arty Hebrideans art work is just wonderfulย and such a true representation of the Hebrides.
Skydancer Coffee is delicious and is small batch roasted in South Uist. Not only is it so tasty, it is made using sustainable and ethical methods and packaging and donates a percentage of profits to conservation charities.ย
And as we go, there will be new products arriving all the time. .

If you need some rest and to sit for a while to enjoy the view, we have a range of refreshments available and a picnic area to sit and take some time out to just be.
We are open Monday to Saturday 10am until 6pm.

a beautiful introduction to carloway
Carloway is a beautiful village on the West side of the Isle of Lewis. Where the dramatic and rugged coastline meets Moorland, crofts, wildlife and magical scenery. Sometimes there’s not enough words to describe how magical it is, so get a brew, sit back, relax, and enjoy this fantastic film by Clisham Studio.
Are you open the usual 6 days per week. Best of luck.๐
